This ” #NoirWeThereYet” is just a tag that we (our radio show group) have been using to keep up with each other on Twitter regarding our radio show.  It is a way for us to stay public so that the professors may get involved if need be and is easier than DM’ing each other; as seen below:

The reason for this explanation is because of the way I created my poster for the show.  I wanted to keep the #NoirWeThereYet thing going, but just use that tag as a means of propaganda for our show.  I feel like if anyone has been keeping up with our tweets, then possibly some anticipation behind #NoirWeThereYet has built and this poster will just ad (pun intended) to the hype!

This poster was created using GIMP.  I pulled a Noir themed picture from the internet to represent one of the characters in our show.  I used some different effects in GIMP to enhance the lighting/shading, then added the “NOIR!” as an image from a separate layer and chose the “Color to Alpha” option.  Then, the text I created after searching nearly every different font on the Macbook.  BOOM!

I love the poster! The hashtag is pretty clever i must say. The photo you chose to use for the poster really represents noir well, the man in a fedora and trench coat leaning up against brick wall at night. Classic. Great work!
